नारदजी द्वारा श्रीहरि विष्णुजी को श्राप एवं नारदजी का अभिमान-भंग

     एक पौराणिक कथा के अनुसार देवर्षि नारदजी को एक बार इस बात का अभिमान हो गया कि उन्होंने काम पर विजय प्राप्त कर ली है तथा कामदेव भी उनकी तपस्या और ब्रह्मचर्य को भंग नहीं कर सकते। इस प्रकार नारदजी अपनी उपलब्धि का विचार मन में लिए ब्रह्मलोक पहुंचे और यह सारी बात अपने पिता ब्रह्माजी से कहीं। पुत्र के अभिमानवश शब्दो को सुनकर ब्रह्माजी ने मना किया कि जो बात आपने मुझसे कहीं है वह आप किसी और से न कहना। परन्तु अपने चंचल स्वभाव के कारण नारदजी ने यह बात अपने गुरु शिवजी को बताई। देवर्षि के शब्दों में अहंकार झलक रहा था। शिवजी यह समझ चुके थे कि नारद अभिमानी हो गए हैं। शिवजी ने नारद जी से कहा कि आप भगवान श्रीहरि विष्णु जी के सामने इस प्रकार का प्रदर्शन न करना। गुरु के बार-बार समझाने पर भी उन्होंने यह प्रसंग श्रीहरि विष्णु जी को सुनाया। इस प्रकार यह बात सत्य है कि जो व्यक्ति अज्ञानवश एवं अभिमानवाश अपने माता-पिता और गुरु की अभेलना करता है वह संसार में किसी की भी आज्ञा का पालन नहीं कर सकता। इस प्रकार एक अभिमानी का अभिमान तोड़ने हेतु भगवान श्रीहरि ने लीला रची। एक दिन देवर्षि नारदजी आकाश में भर्मण कर रहे थे, अचानक रास्ते में उन्हें एक बहुत ही सुंदर नगर दिखाई दिया, जहां शीलनिधि अपनी पुत्री विश्व मोहिनी के स्वयंवर का आयोजन किया जा रहा था।

नारद भी वहां पहुंच गए और राजकुमारी विश्व मोहिनी को देखते ही मोहित हो गए। यह सब भगवान श्रीहरि की माया थी। राजकुमारी का रूप और सौंदर्य नारद के कौमार्य को भंग कर चुका था। इस कारण उन्होंने राजकुमारी के स्वयंवर में हिस्सा लेने का मन बना लिया। इसके बाद राजा ने अपनी पुत्री के भाग्य के बारे में नारदजी से पूछा। नारदजी ने राजा को बताया–’आपकी यह पुत्री अपने महान भाग्य के कारण धन्य है और साक्षात् लक्ष्मी की भांति समस्त गुणों से सम्पन्न है। इसका भावी पति निश्चय ही भगवान शंकर के समान वैभवशाली, सर्वेश्वर, किसी से पराजित न होने वाला, वीर, कामविजयी तथा सम्पूर्ण देवताओं में श्रेष्ठ होगा।’ नारद भगवान विष्णु के पास गए और कहा कि आपकी कृपा के बिना राजकुमारी को प्राप्त करने का कोई उपाय नहीं है। मुझे हरि जैसा बना दीजिए। हरि का दूसरा अर्थ ‘वानर’भी होता है।

भगवान ने कहा–

‘वैद्य जिस प्रकार रोगी की औषधि करके उसका कल्याण करता है, उसी प्रकार मैं तुम्हारा हित अवश्य करूंगा।’

यद्यपि भगवान का कथन स्पष्ट था किन्तु काम से व्याकुल नारदजी को कुछ समझ नहीं आया। और वे यह समझकर कि ‘भगवान ने मुझे अपना रूप दे दिया’ स्वयंवर-सभा में जा विराजे। भगवान ने ऐसा ही किया, लेकिन जब नारद मुनि स्वयंवर में गए तो उनका मुख वानर के समान हो गया। सभी राजा उन्हें देखकर हंसने लगते हैं। नारद को कुछ समझ में नही आता है। सारे राजा नारद का उपहास करते हैं। उसी समय भगवान विष्णु एक राजा के रूप में वहां आए।

श्रीहरि विष्णु जी का सुंदर स्वरूप देखकर राजकुमारी ने उन्हें अपने पति के रूप में स्वीकार कर लिया। उधर नारद दर्पण में स्वयं का बंदर रूप देखकर क्रोधित हो जाते हैं। नारदजी भगवान विष्णु के पास गए और नारदजी क्रोध में बोले–

‘मैं तो जानता था कि तुम भले व्यक्ति हो परन्तु तुम सर्वथा विपरीत निकले। समुद्र-मंथन के समय  तुमने असुरों को मद्य पिला दिया और स्वयं कौस्तुभादि चार रत्न और लक्ष्मी को ले गए। शंकरजी को बहलाकर विष दे दिया। यदि उन कृपालु ने उस समय हलाहल को न पी लिया होता तो तुम्हारी सारी माया नष्ट हो जाती और आज हमारे साथ यह कौतुक न होता। तुमने मेरी अभीष्ट कन्या छीनी, अतएव तुम भी स्त्री के विरह में मेरे जैसे ही विकल होओगे। तुमने जिन वानरों के समान मेरा मुंह बनाया था, वे ही उस समय तुम्हारे सहायक होंगे।’  अर्थात जिस तरह आज मैं स्त्री का वियोग सह रहा हूं उसी प्रकार मनुष्य जन्म लेकर आपको भी स्त्री वियोग सहना पड़ेगा। उस समय वानर ही तुम्हारी सहायता करेंगे।

भगवान विष्णु ने कहा- आपका श्राप सत्य हो और नारद मुनि को माया से मुक्त हो गए तदुपरांत नारद मुनि को अपने कटु वचनों पर बहुत ग्लानि हुई और उन्होंने भगवान श्रीहरि विष्णुजी से क्षमा मांगी। वे बड़ा पश्चात्ताप करने लगे और ‘त्राहि त्राहि’ कहकर प्रभु के चरणों पर गिर पड़े। भगवान ने भी उन्हें सान्त्वना दी और आशीर्वाद दिया कि अब माया तुम्हारे पास न फटकेगी।

भगवान श्रीहरि विष्णुजी ने नारदजी के सम्बन्ध में कहा है–

‘मैं दिव्यदृष्टि सम्पन्न श्रीनारदजी की स्तुति करता हूँ। जिनके मन में अहंकार नहीं है, जिनका शास्त्रज्ञान और चरित्र किसी से छिपा नहीं है, उन देवर्षि नारद को मैं नमस्कार करता हूँ। जो कामना अथवा लोभवश झूठी बात मुँह से नहीं निकालते और सभी प्राणी जिनकी उपासना करते हैं, उन नारदजी को मैं नमस्कार करता हूँ।’

इस प्रकार नारद के दोनों श्राप फलीभूत हुए और भगवान विष्णु को श्री राम रूप में जन्म लेकर अपनी पत्नी सीता का वियोग सहना पड़ा।

Shivaji told Narada that you should not perform this kind of performance in front of Lord Shri Vishnu Ji. Despite repeated explanations of Guru, he told this incident to Shri Hari Vishnu. Thus, it is true that a person who is ignorant and arrogant with his parents and guru, can not follow the orders of anyone in the world. In order to break the pride of an arrogant Lord Sree Hari created Leela. One day, Devshi Naradji was roaming in the sky, suddenly on the way, she saw a beautiful city, where Shilnidhi was being organized by the Swayamvar of her daughter, World Mohini.

Narada also got there and fascinated by seeing the princess World Mohini. All this was the maya of Lord Shrihari. The beauty and beauty of the princess had dissolved Narada's virginity. For this reason, he decided to take part in the Princess Swayamwar. After this, the king asked Naradaji about the fate of his daughter. Naradji told the King- 'Your daughter is blessed because of her great fortune and is full of all qualities like Lakshmi like Sakta Lakshmi. Its future husband will surely be superior to Lord Shankar, not as defeated by anyone, mighty, valiant and perfect in all the Gods. Narad went to Lord Vishnu and said that no one should get the princess without your kindness. There is no solution. Make me like Hari. Hari also has the second meaning 'Apara'.

Hari said-

'The way Vaidya medicines the patient's welfare, so will I do your best.'

Although the statement of God was clear but distraught from work, Narada did not understand anything. And they understand that 'God gave me his form' God did this, but when Narada Muni went to Swayam, his face became like ape. All the kings start to laugh at seeing them. Narada does not understand anything. All the kings ridicule Narada. At the same time, Lord Vishnu came in the form of a king.

Seeing the beautiful form of ShriHari Vishnu, the princess accepted her as her husband. On the other hand, Narada becomes angry by seeing the monkey form of himself in the mirror. Naradaji went to Lord Vishnu and Naradaji spoke in anger-

'I knew that you are a good man, but you turned out to be totally opposite. At the time of the ocean of mudrant, you gave the asuras wine and they took themselves Kaustubhadi four Ratnas and Lakshmi. Shankarji was deliberately poisoned. Had the merciful had not drunk any laughing at that time then all your Maya would have been destroyed and today it would not be appreciated with us. You snatched my chosen daughter, so you too will be as good as I am in front of a woman. You will be the helper of my ancestors like you, who will help you at that time. 'That is, today I am suffering the separation of women. In the same way, you will also have to endure the loss of woman. At that time the monkey will only help you.

Lord Vishnu said - Your curse is true and Narada Muni was freed from the illusion. Narada Muni was very worried about his bitter words and he apologized to Lord Shri Vishnu. They began to repent and began to say, 'Trishi treacherous' and fall at the Lord's feet. God also consoled them and blessed them that now Maya will not scold you.

Lord Shree Hari has said in relation to Naradji-

'I praise the divine visionary Srinagarji. Those who do not have the arrogance in their mind, whose science and character are not hidden from anybody, I salute those Devshi Narada. I do not wish to utter or utter falsehood, and all the creatures worshiped, I salute Naradji. '

Thus both the curses of Narada flourished and Lord Vishnu had to endure the separation of his wife Sita by taking birth in Ram form.
