भगवान विष्णु का नाम “नारायण” और “हरि ”

आखिर क्यों भगवान विष्णु का नाम “नारायण” और “हरि ” है ?

     हिंदू पौराणिक कथा के अनुसार, भगवान विष्णु के प्रधान भक्त- नारद भगवान विष्णु का नाम जपने के लिए नारायण शब्द का प्रयोग किया, उसी समय से भगवान विष्णु के सभी नामों में जैसे अनन्तनरायण, लक्ष्मीनारायण, शेषनारायण इन सभी में विष्णु का नाम नारायण जोड़कर लिया जाता है।

कई लोगों को मानना है कि भगवान विष्णु को नारायण के रूप में जाना जाता है लेकिन बहुत कुछ इसके पीछे के रहस्य को भी जानते हैं। 

     एक प्राचीन पौराणिक कथा के अनुसार, जल भगवान विष्णु के पैरों से पैदा हुआ था और इस तथ्य पर प्रकाश डाला गया की भगवान विष्णु के पैर से बाहर आई गंगा नदी का नाम विष्णुपदोदकी ‘ के नाम से जाना जाता है| इसके अलावा, जल “नीर” या ‘ नर ‘ नाम से जाना जाता है और भगवान विष्णु भी पानी में रहते हैं, इसलिए, ‘ नर ‘ से उनका नाम नारायण बना, यही कारण है कि भगवान विष्णु को नारायण भी कहा जाता है। 

     हरी का अर्थ: हरी का अर्थ होता है चुराने या लेने वाला, भगवान विष्णु दुखियों के सुख और पापियों के पाप कर लेते हैं इसलिए उन्हें हरी के नाम से भी संसार जानता है.
